The Beauty Of The Candover Stream
We're very happy to have been working with the Environment Agency again.
This time the location is at the beautiful Candover Stream in Hampshire.
Our brief here was to collect both landscape shots and also reference shots of the work the EA have been doing here to restore and preserve the stream from degradation from people and animals alike. I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to work here to the sound of woodpeckers tapping away, surrounded by countryside where there is no sound of anything but the wildlife. It is very rewarding to be involved in these kind of projects.
The stretch of the Candover is quite extensive and so had to be tackled in multiple stages. The grass was long making take off and landings something of a creative exercise!! but we got it done.
Some area's of the river have been fenced off by the EA and developed to return the riverbanks to their former glory where the banks had been trampled by grazing cattle and suchlike.
From the air the difference between the fenced areas and the unfenced was immediately noticeableand this was one of the aspects they were very keen to capture.
The whole area is often used by the military for aerial exercises and so I had to be alert to helicopters or planes in the area the whole time.
We will be returning here to get some high res shots soon and will also be back when work in the pipeline has been completed to complete the before and after story. Can't wait
All in all a great place to work.
